The Royal Oak Pub Filey is a gem nestled in the charming town of Filey, renowned for its welcoming atmosphere and delicious home-cooked meals. Patrons appreciate its dog-friendly policy and spacious seating arrangements that ensure a relaxed dining experience. A significant highlight is the Sunday carvery, which numerous guests, including James Hall, rave about for its superb quality, despite occasional waits on busy days like Easter. The homemade chips, mentioned by Gemma Shipman, perfectly complement the freshly prepared dishes, making every bite a delight.
The pub's reputation is bolstered by its commendable service, often described as attentive and friendly, contributing to the overall welcoming environment. Families particularly enjoy the child-friendly amenities, including a little play park, as noted by Sue Smith. Both Leo Burrz and Keith Mulhearn underscore the exceptional dining experience, highlighting the clean and comfortable accommodations alongside impressive meal quality, from the renowned Royal Oak burger to delectable Sunday roasts.
Overall, the Royal Oak Pub Filey is praised for its fantastic value, great taste, and a wonderful atmosphere, making it a must-visit for both locals and travelers alike.

Went on Easter Sunday for the carvery. A long wait, but that's Easter for you. Food was suburb, easy to get a seat and the pub is dog friendly. Will do again if I'm in the area.

Popped in for a bite to eat. Was delicious, fresh cooked food. Home made chips. Nice quiet and tables with plenty of space between as I don't like to feel cramped when eating. Reasonable price. Would recommend. We visited from a local campsite Child friendly with a park outside for them to play on. Friendly staff and was served very quickly. :)

Just had Sunday lunch here, the food was excellent, but that was outshone by the service. Obviously a family run business where everyone works so hard, attentive, friendly and very helpful, can't recommend enough.

The Royal Oak is a brilliant place to stay, the rooms were clean and tidy and very comfortable beds too. The pub has a great atmosphere and friendly staff. The food is out of this world, both the Royal Oak burger and the Sunday carvery I had was incredible. We couldn’t have asked for more from the Royal Oak, we will definitely be coming back.

Fantastic visit to Royal Oak, Filey. 4 adults and 3 children very well catered for with tasty meals, very reasonably priced, staff very accommodating and great little playpark. Would highly recommend, this was our third visit. You can't beat it. ...
